Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on November 6 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone (nee
Yeager), a homemaker & Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a
contracting company founder and CEO. She is of Swedish, German and British
Isles descent. Stone started acting in the ages of a child, as a part of the
Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in the
Kenneth Grahame production "The Wind in the Willows". Through her
teens, Stone was a part of numerous productions until she made the decision to
make acting her career. According to the official account, she put together an
PowerPoint presentation, backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and also
titled "Project Hollywood", in an effort to convince her parents to
let her drop out of school and relocate to Los Angeles. She and her mother made
the pitch, and then moved to LA. Her schooling was done at home, and she spent
her time auditioning. Her TV breakthrough when she won the role of Laurie
Partridge in the VH1 reality show based on a talent show In Search of the
Partridge Family (2004) which resulted in a variety of smaller TV parts in the
subsequent years. Her debut film was Jules in Superbad (2007) and after a
string great performances, her lead role as Olive in Easy A (2010) established
her as a leading actress. The school she attended was Xavier College
Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona. Although she's a redhead her natural hair
shade her is blonde. Judd Apatow was the one who suggested she change her
natural hair color to match Superbad (2007). The film was so popular that she
chose to keep it. When she was 15years old, she convinced her parents to allow
her to go to Hollywood by presenting an PowerPoint presentation that was
appropriately titled Project Hollywood. At the age of 11, she began acting in
the Valley Youth Theatre, Phoenix, AZ. There, she was a part of 16 stage
productions as well as in the comedy Improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also acted
at the Valley Youth Theatre.
